Abstract

With a geopolitical perspective and rigorous analytical approach, the Professor of Public International Law and International Relations at Pablo de Olavide University succeeds in conveying to the reader—through an accessible yet firmly grounded analysis—the strategic importance of critical subsea infrastructure. Invisible to the public eye yet essential to the functioning of contemporary societies, submarine cables constitute a central component of the competitive dynamics that shape the current international landscape.
