Abstract
It is my privilege to present to the reader this special issue of the Journal of International Security Studies (RESI) devoted to the consequences of the end of the conflict in Ukraine, provoked by the Russian invasion, for international security. It is common knowledge that the brave Ukrainian people have been fighting for their integrity and freedom since February 2022, with the help, in the exercise of collective self-defence, of mainly Western countries and their allies. I asked the magazine's editor to publish a special issue of this publication specialising in international security because, given its profile and quality, it seemed to me the best platform to delve into one of the bloodiest conflicts in Europe since the Second World War and its repercussions on world security, understood in a broad sense. And more specifically on the legal, military and geopolitical aspects that will be generated by the outcome of the conflict, which will hopefully take place soon.
