Abstract

Science and Technology are essential elements to achieve any strategic objective. They are the core of the international competitiveness, but at the same time they are pursuing social and political transformations that are the origin of new challenges to our security. This article deals with the role played by science and technology in the Spanish national security. Above all we try to analyze the opportunities offered by the last scientist and technological progresses to reach our strategic objectives. According to the principle that it is not so important the knowledge as how we use it, we try to discover the best way of managing the knowledge to favor the Spanish interests.
